Okay, next issue: I have Bazzite and both Headphones controller and Xbox controller connected. Both work.

Resident Evil: Requiem works great with Ray Tracing on Linux. However, Path Tracing won't work for my AMD GPU, as apparently RE Engine relies on an NVIDIA only denoiser at the moment.

Worked on some fun stuff last night: a complete Go based integration of #pretalx for #hugo, including shortcodes. It allows event organizers to manage their events 100% in pretalx and hugo (static site generator) can then visualize the events, including year tagging mechanism.

In order to test latest capabilities of AI, I vibe-coded an entire MMO from scratch in Typescript with no game engines or libraries. 150k limes of code. What can I say... it works really well. Opted into Entity Component System architecture and it is so easy to extend. Playing around getting the tick loop frequency optimised next. Lots of fun tricks!

Booted up my PC this morning.
Noticed WIFI does not work. 🤔

`lspci -nnk | grep -iA 3 net` lists my network controller correctly...

`rfkill list all` ONLY shows hci0: Bluetooth

Turned out that the firmware entered an undefined power state ("latching up") and rebooting won't help.

To solve this, I switched off power and had to drain the capacitors by pressing the POWER button for like 60 seconds and power state resets.

Ah, computers :)

The biggest downgrade to me, design-wise must be the Momentum 4 headphones by Sennheiser.

As an audiophile, I own the Momentum 3 headphones and their design is bold, industrial and unique. No other high-end headphone producer has a cool design like that.

Now, Sennheiser decided, for whatever reason to depart from that uniqueness. My hope is, that Momentum 5 will return to what made Momentum's once great.

@Gargron@mastodon.social quoting posts was the missing puzzle piece for me. Often, I like to amend or add thoughts to something already said. Inviting for discussion is very difficult on replies alone. With the quote feature, this becomes very easy. Also I love how Mastodon has quite advanced safety/privacy controls on that feature. No other big player has this.
