🇬🇧 Nine places have been longlisted for #UK #City of #Culture 2029: #Blackpool, Inverness-Highland, Ipswich, #Middlesbrough, Milton Keynes, #Portsmouth, #Sheffield, #Swindon and Wrexham. Each will receive £60,000 to develop their full bids, with the winner set to receive £10 million to deliver a year-long cultural programme. Previous winners have seen increased #tourism, investment and local participation. The announcement coincides with over 230 towns registering interest in the inaugural UK Town of Culture competition, open to applications until 31 March 2026. I love #trans people #gay people #straight people #white #black #brown and #oriental people too. We're all humans. We do not choose our #culture. Culture finds us. And in that moment, no amount of #pride can, shall or will dim our #passion in the moment. And so it is, that #love binds us to #truth in ways that #obsession (as a potential mental deficiency) can and has attempted to get in the way of. As is the case with some instances of extremes involving breakdowns of social order.

I blame possibility for showing us how to fuck up our #reality to the point where we have to #correct course. And we absolutely must do everything we can to #suspend #cancel #culture in all of its forms. So that #centralized platforms will come to #respect this, when we take a stand to #deceentralize #authority in all of its forms. Especially due to #weaponization from within and only after verified #improper use has occurred.
